Living Your Best Life Everyday

Stress is an inevitable part of life. How you deal with stress is a choice.

Prolonged or intense stress can negatively impact your mental, emotional and physical health. Learning healthy coping skills is essential to maintaining emotional equilibrium and overall well-being. One technique is mindfulness. Our 'go go go' lifestyle is simply a habit that we have gotten used to that leads us to going through the motions of life rather than experiencing life in the moment.

Many people talk about self-care as a way to deal with stress, but do self-care activities truly help us navigate our stress in the moment? Understanding how stress impacts us personally (physically and physiologically, not just mentally and emotionally), and learning effective and healthy stress management tools are the way to true mastery.

The breath, prana in Sanskrit, is our life force energy. The quality of our breath is directly related to our vitality and vibrancy. Being able to use our breath to support our nervous system is one of the most important factors that influence our health, longevity and well-being.

We have a tendency to think that we can figure things out on our own, that we can make the changes we want in our life through sheer willpower and force. But when we come together with others of like mind, who have similar struggles and experiences, we see how, when we don't feel so alone and isolated, the first step toward health and happiness may not be so daunting after all.

True stress mastery comes from understanding your body, calming your breath, and leaning into the strength of shared human experience. When we slow down and connect, healing becomes not just possible, but sustainable.
